Body and Emotions
The secret is not in how you look
but how deep you are willing to look
Denial of emotion takes root on the subconscious level and eventually blossoms on the physical level. What we plant from the conscious level, we reap in our body, all too often in the form of somatic issues.
Emotions we try to stuff or deny crop up again as physical problems. After all, the negative emotional charge were denying on a conscious level doesn’t just evaporate because we “did not like the experience”. This leaves the body to deal with the effect of held-in emotions. Since we denied expression of the emotion, the physical body ACTS OUT the negative emotional charge it is holding and illness becomes the only expression it has available for clearing itself.
Activating the body/mind connections can help us fulfill our deepest potential as well as release blocked energy that can cause depression, relationship problems, and disconnection with self. This therapy focuses on how we experience our self and our body in the light of current difficulties or problems today. Most of us do not experience our body as a sensing and awareness tool, nor do we experience the degree of mutual connection to ourselves and to others that would truly fulfill us.
Too often we forget that the body is a complete part of us. It has an intelligence that far surpasses anything we could do consciously or scientifically for it. Working with the whole being and understanding the connection to the body, mind, emotions and spirit is what Breath Therapy is about. It creates lasting change through”

“The impulse to wholeness is a natural birthright, for within each of us there is the possibility of wholeness and the deep desire to achieve it. Wholeness means being completely integrated, without any sense of being separate, fragmented, or limited. It means experiencing real joy…” – Chopera
